A girl is haunted by a color.   And maybe something else.

Haunted by the same strange yellow entity that took her parents, a girl survives by using her wit and new-found ability to escape through color.

The Color of the Sun is a horror/fantasy by Eric Munk and Clint Bramlette.  This is the duo's second feature film.  It was set and shot in Dayton, OH in 2019.  The film is currently in post production.

Bramlette wrote the film in 2018, which explores the concept of a monster that evolves and has a dynamic relationship with its protagonist.  Another theme is the rewards and risks of friendship.  "The Color of the Sun" is his second full-length screenplay and second time directing a feature.

Munk, who has worked 10 years as lighting tech in Los Angeles (Bird Box, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and 40 episodes of Teen Wolf) was able to handle both DP and lighting roles.  Production was handled by the pair and longtime friend John Swick, who is completing a film degree.  Ohio author of 27 books Greg Enslen also joined the production team.

Casting was held locally, and an effort was made to cast local talent regardless of background if they were capable of keeping up with the role.   Rising actress KateLynn Newberry was selected to portray the protagonist, Ash Tynes.

The film could not have been made without the support of FilmDayton, and literally the active participation of every member of the cast and crew.  Thank you!
